Many people don’t realise that repeated urinary tract infections may sometimes be linked to an underlying condition called vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) where urine flows backwards towards the kidneys instead of out of the body. This can make infections more likely and, if left unchecked, may affect kidney health over time.
